How I will plan my days, weeks and months in 2025
After a lot of thinking I have decided the perfect planning system for me. It’s a combination of the following components:
- Notion (app): for projects and databases but even for daily organized planning
- Hobonichi Cousin (physical planner): For daily journaling with planning elements to it in the monthly and weekly spreads
- Hobonichi Weeks (physical planner): For weekly illustrations and philosophical writing, not for planning
- Hobonichi 5 Year Diary (physical diary): Only for memory keeping
- Things (app): Task manager, for to-do lists
On the daily I will however only use the Notion application and my Hobonichi Cousin physical planner.
I was thinking on incorporating a digital PDF planner in the GoodNotes app, but decided it wouldn’t work because I’m so used to Notion combined with a physical planner.
The most important is what works for the individual person. Don’t use someone else’s system just because you admire how it works for them, because it can be completely different for you.
For example, I follow Flourish Planner and KDigitalStudio on Youtube and they use beautiful digital planners that are hyperlinked PDF planner in a notation app like GoodNotes… But that doesn’t work for me. It just over-complicate things to use my iPad as a planner.

Right now I’m also working on a free Notion template with a similar dashboard as mine for those who are interested. It will probably be available by the end of December or in the beginning of January, because I started to work on it pretty late. I will post about it here when it’s finished though.
xx
